New Moon in Cancer

On Friday July 13th the New Moon occurs in the sign of Cancer. It is also a partial eclipse, the first eclipse of four occuring over the next few weeks…

New moons alone are times of powerful new beginnings but when we also have a solar eclipse, even partial, there is a very potent element of transformation added.

The combination of these powerful Lunar and Solar effects shed light on those areas of our life which may already be on a journey of transformation as well as those yet to be transformed. They offer a reminder that it is time to come home to our whole self. To enter into our hearts and ask what it is we truly yearn for.

Feelings that may have been dormant within are rising to the surface like waves rising towards the shore. We need to pay attention to our instincts, our deepest needs and feelings. To connect with our vulnerability, so that we can face and embrace all that has been and all that we are, while freeing ourselves from that which may have a hold on us. Only then can we begin to write a new story, to truly open the way to move forward.

It is a time to plant seeds, beautiful seeds of creativity and imagination, to set intentions for our dreams and to nurture those with kindness rather than the fears which can often arise in the midst of change and new beginnings.

It is a time to believe in and step into your own power to change what you can and adapt to what you can’t, to be kind and nurturing to yourself and others, and, to seek support from others when and where you may need it.

The New moon is a time of openness, the subconscious mind is quieter and we have an opportunity to call in that which we wish to manifest. The perfect time to move forward, begin something new and step into your own beautiful radiance.

We will be gathering together in a circle of shared energy to celebrate this powerful new moon and set our intentions for this period of transformation at The Hut for Four Seasons in Northiam, East Sussex.

Our circle will gather at 7:30pm on Friday the 13th July and you are very welcome to join us for an evening of chanting, meditation and a setting of intentions.
